On the edge of the medieval village of Mougins, on the C\u00f4te d'Azur, lies Les Ros\u00e9es. An ancient stone farmhouse, with more than four hundred years of history, transformed into a charming maison d'h\u00f4tes in a Proven\u00e7al shabby chic style. \u201cThis house was bought by my grandmother about 30 years ago. It was a farmhouse in a time when living on the French Riviera was harsh and unglamorous. There were no tourists and the local language was Provencal\u00bb says Kilperick Lhobet, the owner of the house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local handicraft objects are placed side by side with antique furniture and ancient patinas. \u00abWe used traditional techniques, local craftsmanship and authentic materials from the region such as lime paint and the old terracotta tiles typical of the area. Italian marbles and antique furnishings complete the interior decoration\u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vaulted ceilings and wall paintings by the friend Mona Elisab\u00e9 frame the large dining area, built where the chicken coop once stood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rubelli, ZR Zimmer+Rohde, Verel de Belval. And: Leitner Leinen, Donghia, Braqueni\u00e9 and M\u00e9taphores. These are just some of the prestigious brands of fabrics that work side by side with antique loom hemp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The five refined suites of Les Ros\u00e9es, including a gypsy caravan, overlook a terraced garden with swimming pool, surrounded by Mediterranean herbs and olive trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
