It was the breathtaking view of the French Alps that made Fran and Mark fall in love with the Landscape Lodge, a wooden chalet immersed in the Abondance Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To welcome, a series of trouvaille found in French antiques markets<\/strong>: rusty cans, once used for milk, or old wooden sleds. As well as agricultural tools. The vintage objects, present throughout the house, are flanked by handcrafted creations<\/strong>, such as bowls and wooden vases made by hand by the Atelier Darbroche. All this it's in contrast with elegant finishes and refined shades<\/strong>. Natural fabrics make the interior cosy: wool curtains and sheepskin, linen cushions and kilim rugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fireplace <\/strong>is the protagonist of the living room, an open space with the dining room and the kitchen. Ercol chairs go well with the solid wood table. Large windows let in lots of light. Scattered here and there are ancient oil paintings<\/strong> found at the Puces du Canal in Lyon. The old wooden apple picking staircase also comes from the Lyon market. Now it is in the studio: an intimate space with two windows overlooking the pine forest<\/strong>. Ancient herbaria hanging on the wall recall the external environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wood, jute and linen<\/strong> : the four rooms have a clean design and differ in the refined and fonc\u00e9 shades of color <\/strong>, from powder pink to peacock blue. The children's bedroom is a welcoming space with clean lines, wooden beds and storage baskets in the shape of a teddy bear. The handcrafted cement tiles give colour to bathrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
