That of the Grotte della Civita<\/strong> is a recovery and rehabilitation project to bring the Sassi of Matera<\/strong> back to life. Populated from prehistoric times to the early 1950s, the tuff caves have now become a widespread hotel of incredible charm. The simple materials and the soft light of the candles invite you to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Le<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The 18 suites<\/strong> are located between via Civita and via Conservatorio, in the Sasso Barisano, one of the two ancient districts of the historic center of Matera<\/strong>. Each room, some of considerable size, is equipped with a bathtub. Breakfast is served outdoors or in the deconsecrated rock church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In free time? You can hang out in the Sassi. Or book a nice bike ride in the Murgia Park. And again: cooking lessons and Ayurvedic massages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
