A great-grandmother's shell necklace. The story of Tata Borello<\/strong> is born from this bijoux<\/strong> full of memories. Federica fixed it at the age of 9. She still keeps it in a hatbox next to the bed. \u00abWith thread and a lot of patience I fixed the necklace. This thing amused me a lot. So I started creating for mum, grandmother and their friends. There were beads all over the place \u00bb says Federica Borello with a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooches<\/strong>. High-quality, romantic and delicate bijoux. \u00abI look at the colour trends, but I interpret them in a very personal way. I like to be updated on materials and craftsmanship techniques, more than on fashion trends \u00bb. The first jewel of the brand? \u00abA shield-shaped ring, made of faceted mini crystals<\/strong> on a rigid frame\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Borello's bijoux are inspired by the 1950s, Liberty and Art D\u00e9co<\/strong>. To the creations of Coppola and Toppo. Those who made Made in Italy bijoux famous in the sixties and seventies (they created bijoux for Valentino and Saint-Laurent). \u00abMy jewels have a vintage flavor. They seem to come out of grandma's drawers, but they are innovative in terms of materials and workmanship \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research of materials and craftsmanship<\/strong> are two key ingredients of the brand. \u00abWe have a very particular way of threading that makes the jewels soft and light<\/strong>. We use lurex ribbons to give them their shape. A reference to the textile world and to my studies in knitwear (my family had a clothing company). Even then I liked to create dresses interweaving copper wires and crystals \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
